Ryan Watterson

Ryan W. was born and raised in Grand Prairie, TX and now lives in Bedford. He loves playing sports (especially pickleball, volleyball, and basketball), spending time with friends, and experiencing/learning about new places and cultures. Growing up he attended a couple different churches, and through God’s grace placed his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior in the summer of 2016. In May of 2023 Ryan was seeking community and Kingdom purpose and the Lord answered his prayers by bringing him to Fielder. At Fielder, Ryan quickly found community in the college ministry where he now serves as a leader on Tuesdays. 

Additionally, he’s been blessed with the opportunity to serve on 4 mission trips and lead a men’s discipleship group. Through multiple Fielder leaders speaking into Ryan’s life, an evident culture of sending and being a laborer at Fielder church, and a persistent conviction of the Holy Spirit, Ryan decided to join the IMB Journeyman program in June of 2026. In preparation for Ryan’s two-year mission, God blessed him to be able to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and join this year’s Send Residency at Fielder. Ryan is excited for this opportunity to learn hands on ministry experience, spend time in prayer training, and be part of a team that will challenge him to grow and equip him for Kingdom purposes. He is honored to be apart of what God is doing and looks forward to being a vessel for His glory.
