Maddie Huang is a graduate of the University of Arkansas (woo pig!) in Fayetteville, AR and is a licensed registered nurse. Maddie has been on staff at Fielder Church since 2016 and currently serves as the Local Missions & Foster Care/Adoption Pastor.
In her role, Maddie is privileged to manage the Kids Hope Lead Director & Serve the City Coordinator and provide leadership to the Foster Care & Adoption volunteer coordinators. She works with other Fielder Church ministry departments & outside ministry partners to better serve our community & move more people to engage with foster care & adoption in our city and around the world.
Some of the specific focuses in Maddie’s role at Fielder include maintaining ongoing relationships with local ministry partners and finding ways for our church body to serve alongside them, shepherding families as they foster & adopt, implementing Serve the City Sunday’s several times a year, and encouraging our church body to mentor children in our local schools.
Maddie firmly believes that God has richly blessed her with the opportunity to shepherd the body of Christ to see that it is the gospel that should compel us as believers to love our city & care for vulnerable children around us.
Maddie has been married to her husband Peter since 2018 and they have a black lab named Koda (who’s always the life of the party). Outside of work, Maddie volunteers with the Fielder College ministry, serves as a Commissioner for the Arlington Housing Authority, and has had the opportunity to travel overseas to several countries in Central Asia, East Asia & the Middle East to engage in cross-cultural ministry & support church planting efforts among unreached people groups.
