Lydia Piñero

ECC Director

Lydia was born in Searcy, Arkansas and grew up in southern California and the DFW area. Raised in a family that loved Jesus, by an artist and an educator, creativity and an inquisitive nature came naturally. Lydia grew up with a passion for art and reading that continues today.
That passion led her to appreciate the creative and honest nature of God at a young age. Those questions she had about God were encouraged, and her love of reading turned into her love for the Word of God.

For the last twenty years Lydia has been sharing her passion for discipleship and teaching children how to have ownership of their relationship with the Lord.
Those experiences led her to meeting her husband, Carlos and they have been married and doing ministry together since 2009. Carlos is currently the VP of mobilization at Youth Works. They have been blessed with five children and have been heavily involved in foster care, kinship, and family preservation ministries. Carlos and Lydia are passionate about discipling whole families.
In 2016 Lydia, her husband Carlos and their children moved to Arlington to accept a role on the discipleship team at Fielder. They have since partnered with Fielder to plant a micro-church network and remain connected to Fielder as their sending church and Lydia’s new role as director of Fielder ECC.

Having sent all their children through ECC, this role holds special significance to her. Lydia is excited to partner with the teachers and staff to continue the mission and vision of ECC, and to bring her passion for teaching children to boldly approach the throne of God to the families of Fielder ECC.

When not in a classroom, you can find Lydia and her family outside, trying new restaurants, exploring a museum, or drinking a good cup of coffee. They love to go hiking, garden, raise chickens, travel, and entertain people in their home. If you like good food and conversation, invite yourself over! The Pinero family would love to get to know you!
