As we continue our multi-year journey through the Gospels, Hosanna will take us through Matthew 21–26, the final days of Jesus’ ministry. We begin in December, celebrating the birth of the Savior—“For unto you is born… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Salvation has come.
In Matthew 21, the crowds shout “Hosanna!” A word that means both “Save us now!” and praise to the One who saves. It is worship and plea woven together—acknowledging Jesus as King and Deliverer.
Through His teachings and parables, Jesus reveals the true nature of His Kingdom. He confronts false religion, calls for love of God and neighbor, warns of judgment, and promises His return. Every step points toward the cross—He has come not only to reign, but to rescue.
As we reach February, our celebration deepens into remembrance. The Savior we rejoice in at Christmas will soon suffer for our redemption. From cradle to cross, our cry remains: Hosanna—Lord, save us. Hosanna—You have come to save.
Join us as we follow Jesus—our Hosanna—on His path to the cross.
