On Sunday September 5th there will be tables at each campus for you to pick up a FREE backpack and fill it with comfort & essential items for kids entering the foster care system!
When children enter the foster care system, they frequently arrive at their new foster home with nothing. If they have been allowed to bring along some items, often they have been shoved hastily into a trash bag. We think kids going through such a traumatic time deserve better. We received 75 free backpacks from Send Relief at the North American Mission Board & we want to use these to bless kids entering the foster system & use this to share the love of Christ with them.
If this is a way you or your community group want to serve, here’s what you need to do!
- Click the link below & reserve the number of backpacks you’d like to fill.
- Pick up the backpacks from the campus you attend on September 5th.
- Purchase & fill the backpacks with items for the child (we will provide you with a recommended list of items!)
- Take the backpacks to Covenant Kids (a local child placing agency we partner with) or to the Fielder Church offices.
