"King" Series

As we continue our multi-year journey through the Gospels, we turn to Mark 11–13, where Jesus finally arrives in Jerusalem as King, revealing who He truly is. This series begins September 20 and continues through October 11.

He enters the city on a borrowed colt, not a warhorse, as crowds shout "Hosanna," meaning save us now. He curses a fig tree full of leaves but no fruit, and it withers by morning, a picture of what's coming. He walks into the temple and overturns the tables of those profiting off worship, calling out religion that looks alive but produces nothing real. The religious leaders try to trap Him with questions. And when His disciples ask what's next, He tells them plainly: everything they know will fall, but He will return one day as the King the world hasn't fully seen.

He is a Servant King who leads by giving Himself away. King over creation, with authority over life and death. A King with no patience for hollow religion. And a King still to come.

He doesn't need a throne, a crown, or a conquest to prove who He is. That's proven in what He's willing to give up.

Join us in the Gospel of Mark as we behold Jesus, the King.
