Yadira Molina
Children's Pastor
My name is Yadira, and you can pronounce it like it looks or you may notice my Latino friends pronounce it as if it was spelled with a J. Either way is fine! I was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico but moved to Florida with my parents at the age of seven. My father was a pastor; therefore, I grew up in the church and accepted Jesus Christ into my life and baptized at the age of 13. I was heavily involved in the youth ministry and participated in several mission trips. But then I fell in love with an unbeliever. I met my now husband, Jose Molina in 2001 and we were married in December 2005. His job as a mechanical engineer with Lockheed Martin is what brought us to Texas from Florida in January 2006. During our first few years of marriage the Lord was continuously working in my heart and in my life. I had two prayer warriors in my parents who prayed relentlessly for both Jose and me to have an encounter with the Lord and allow him into our hearts and into our marriage. I remember being pregnant with our oldest son, Jonathan, when I had my re-encounter with the Lord. I repented of my disobedience and chose HIM to be my number one in my life again. To make a long story short, the Lord too was working in Jose’s heart and on Christmas Eve 2008, Jose accepted Jesus into his heart and life has never been the same.
We started attending Fielder in the fall of 2014 and we’ve never looked back. I started serving within Children’s Ministry and slowly but surely continued to serve in different capacities within that ministry. The Lord opened the door for me to come on staff as a part-time children’s coordinator for the Spanish ministry at the Pioneer campus in 2019. In late 2020, the Lord opened the door for me to leave my full-time corporate job to pursue a career in ministry. My first thought, “No! Anyone else but me Lord, I already do enough.” So, after much, much prayer, seeking counsel from leaders in ministry and seeking the Lord’s wisdom and discernment, I knew in my heart that the Lord’s calling was clear. So here I am, being obedient to God’s calling in my life.
Jose and I have been married for 16 years and have two wonderful sons, Jonathan and Joshua.
