Makayla Weaver
Send Resident
Born in southern California and raised as a missionary kid in Europe, Makayla witnessed God’s faithfulness daily but didn’t fully surrender her life to Jesus until her sophomore year of high school. Since that day, she has experienced complete transformation and finds herself in awe of God’s wonder every day.
After moving to Arlington in 2022, Makayla was immediately drawn to Fielder’s intentional pursuit of diversity and missional mindset. A year later, she felt God calling her back to missions. During Fielder’s prayer and fasting retreat in March 2025—following a mission trip—the Send Residency came to mind as her next step.
Makayla’s missionary kid background and recent mission experience have shaped her heart for cross-cultural ministry and disciple-making. She’s excited about the Send Residency’s unique blend of theological learning, hands-on ministry, and community in a church that truly celebrates diversity and lives out the gospel.
When not at Fielder, you can find Makayla pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Liberty University, working part-time at Fielder’s ECC, reading a good book, or hanging out with friends.
