"Lord" Sermon Series

As we continue our multi-year journey through the Gospels, Lord will take us verse by verse covering Mark 2–8, the growing revelation of Jesus’ authority and identity. This eleven-part series begins May 24 and continues through August 9, inviting us to see the supremacy, power, and life-giving authority of Christ afresh as Jesus reveals Himself not merely as a teacher, but as the One who stands over all things as Lord.
Mark wastes no time. From everyday moments to raging storms, Jesus moves with unmistakable authority. He redefines the Sabbath. He commands creation. He multiplies what is lacking. And ordinary people are called and changed as they follow Him. In every moment, through both His teaching and His actions, Jesus is revealing Himself to be Master.
He is Lord, the One who does not merely teach truth, but defines it. Creation responds to Him. Provision flows from Him. Identity is reshaped by Him. Everything begins to center on Him. What seems familiar quickly gives way to something far greater. This is authority that belongs to God alone.
And as the story unfolds, one reality becomes unavoidable. Understanding grows, but so does opposition. To recognize Him as Lord is not a casual confession. It is a call to surrender, to reorient everything around Him, and to trust Him as the One who brings life.
This series continues to build the foundation of our understanding of Jesus, revealing not only what He does, but who He is as the One who stands over all things as Lord. As we walk slowly through these chapters, we are invited to respond as His first followers did, to trust Him, submit to Him, and follow wherever He leads.
Join us as we continue in the Gospel of Mark and behold Jesus, our Lord.
