"Son of God" Sermon Series

As we continue our multi-year journey through the Gospels, Son of God will take us verse by verse through Mark 1–2:22—the opening scenes of Jesus’ public ministry and the bold declaration of who He truly is. This four-part series begins April 19 and continues through May 10, inviting us to see the authority, compassion, and mission of Christ afresh.

Mark wastes no time. From the wilderness to the synagogue, from healing the sick to forgiving sins, Jesus steps onto the scene with unmistakable authority. Demons tremble. Diseases flee. Sins are forgiven. And ordinary fishermen leave everything to follow Him. In every encounter, Mark answers the most important question: Who is this man?

He is the Son of God—the One with authority to teach, to cleanse, to call, and to forgive. He touches the unclean. He restores the outcast. He claims authority that belongs to God alone. And as opposition begins to rise, we see that following Him will require faith, surrender, and trust in His identity.

This series continues to build the foundation of our understanding of Jesus—revealing not only what He does, but who He is. As we walk slowly through these early chapters, we are invited to respond as the first disciples did: to repent, believe the gospel, and follow Him.
