Merry Chun

Merry (Jinseo) was born and raised in South Korea. Growing up in a non-Christian family, Merry always had questions about the purpose of life. When she was in high school, a teacher shared the gospel to her and she decided to give her life to the Lord. God has given Jinseo a heart for the lost and a passion for missions. When she was 20, she joined YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and went to Indonesia as a student missionary. She served in a campus ministry for 5 years and discipled local college students while completing her undergraduate degree at Indonesia University of Education. Merry came to the U.S. in 2016 to learn about biblical foundations of education at Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary. She graduated in 2020 with Masters of Christian Education. Merry served in a refugee ministry and met her husband Joochan there. Merry and Joochan have served in a Korean immigrant church as a youth and children’s pastor.
