The Foster Care & Adoption Ministry is offering a Transracial Adoption Equip Class this fall! This class is designed give you foundational principles for healthy cross-race parenting. Parenting is both wonderful and difficult. This class will provide challenging & thought-provoking information to help you parent more intentionally when it comes to race, culture, and adoption. We will watch videos, hear testimonies from transracial adoptees, and have great discussions together.

This will be a safe space to learn, ask questions, and have an open discussion so we can all grow together. Topics covered will include adoption through the lens of the gospel, white privilege, racism in adoption & foster care, adoption trauma, racial-ethnic socialization, power of parental choices, fundamental rights of transracial adoptees, and more.

Who is it for? Fielder members & non-members, adoptive parents, foster parents, prospective foster or adoptive parents, & people who just want to learn about cross-race parenting.
